Presentation Title: “Preventing Emotional Burnout

Description:      The evening’s interactive presentation/discussion will help women to nurture their own emotional needs, and will provide suggestions for balancing caring for self & others. With warmth and humor, Julie will present personal and professional insights into healthy emotional expression, saying “no” without guilt, perfectionism, body image, self-esteem, & mental health concerns and warning signs. The presentation will open & conclude with a couple of original songs by Julie illuminating Julie’s personal experience to struggle to “prevent emotional burnout”. Several handouts will be available after the presentation relating to topics presented.

Presenter Bio:  Julie de Azevedo Hanks

INTRODUCTION 

Like most women, Julie de Azevedo Hanks wears many hats. As an award-winning singer & songwriter Julie has produced 9 CD and contributed to numerous music projects over the past few decades. Her best known songs include the inspirational classic “Window To His Love”.  She’s currently recording 2 new songs to be included on her “Best Of” CD to be released this May! She earned a BS in psychology and a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Utah, founded & serves as clinical director of Wasatch Family Therapy clinic in Salt Lake City. Julie specializes in counseling LDS women and couples. You can see her monthly as a regular contributor on KSL TV’s popular morning show “Studio 5” & a relationship columnist for Wasatch Woman Magazine. Julie & her husband Jeff Hanks have been married for 20 years, and they are parents to 4 wonderful children ranging from toddler to teens. Needless to say, she needs to hear everything she is going to share today because she’s still trying to figure out how to prevent burnout…!
